Training prepares you and develops your knowledge in force protection and anti terrorism, safeguarding of personnel, property and materials. Courses include topics such as tactical verbalization skills, military law, use of force and physical apprehension techniques.

Navy Law Enforcement Programs

There are a number of programs and specializations one can focus on within the navy investigative and security initiatives. The number of law enforcement and physical security functions are vast.

1. Navy Investigation Program Management

As a navy law enforcement officer within this program, you would be have two primary duties, law enforcement and anti terrorism force protection. To accomplish this goal agents usually have to handle Military Working Dogs and conduct protective service operations. Finally, those in this program provide security for planes and ships.

2. Military Working Dog Program

This program covers 250 large and small breed animals trained in detecting drugs and explosives. These dogs and agents that work with them are critical in apprehending suspects, deterring aggressive acts and patrolling and securing Navy and Military Corps installations.

3. RIC Program

Regional Investigative Coordinators are special agents who advise and oversee local investigators, such as police and detectives. They also ensure that training for investigators and detective is standardized thus leading to a professional force of agents.
